We are looking for creative and motivated Postdoctoral Researchers, Visiting Scholars, Graduate or Undergraduate students to join our research group. Our MicroBioInterface Lab is located the Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, and works in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the school of Dental Medecine. Our research program consists in exploiting fundamental knowledge on the physiological response of bacteria to physical forces to minimize the deleterious and optimize the beneficial effects of bacterial film formation. Thus, the MicroBioInterface Lab aims to elaborate new strategies to:

1) eradicate multidrug-resistant (MDR) infections
2) control microbial dynamics relevant to health and biotechnology
3) alleviate the ecological impacts of oil spills

We are welcoming experise in Bioelectrochemistry, Antimicrobial Biomaterials, Biocolloids and Microrheology. Please feel free to send an email to Tniepa@pitt.edu
